Founded in Oct 2023, CrystalSemi is dedicated to delivering the state-of-the-art optoelectronic solutions to our world-wide customers. Our products include fixed-wavelength DFB lasers, high-speed EML lasers and high-power EML PON lasers. These products are deployed in AI clusters, 5G wireless communication and sensing applications.
Dr. Li has over 10 years of experience in Optoelectronics and semiconductor engineering in world’s leading InP optoelectronics technology companies. He has a proven track of record of defining future products, including edge emitter lasers, photodiodes, and high speed transceivers, and has successfully brought several high speed optoelectronic products from research to volume production. Dr. Li holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Mr. Huai has extensive experience incubating small businesses. Prior to CrystalSemi, He has successfully introduced Impact Center from the University of Toronto to Mainland China, including one medical and one photovoltaic project. He also sold his photovoltaic startup company to Xiuqiang Group (Stock Code: 300160). Mr. Huai holds a MS and Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering (University of Toronto).
Ms. Cheng has extensive experience in semiconductor fab engineering and operation. Prior to CrystalSemi, she worked as the plant manager for one of the key operation sites of world’s top InP optoelectronic foundry. She also worked as Senior Principal engineer in Western Digital and participated in WD’s strategic planning in APAC region. Ms. Cheng holds a dual MS in Material Science & Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Virginia and Bachelor's degree in Material Science and Engineering from University of Sci and Tech of China (USDT).
The product portfolio includes high power 10G/25G PON DFB lasers as key components for data center interconnection application, 1550nm ToF high power Lidar laser source, and DFB lasers for high-precision gas sensing application.
State-of-the-art 100G/200G EML lasers deployed in 400G/800G DR4/FR4 modules as key AI clusters optics.
